Role Overview

A Software Developer who is passionate about building high-quality software using modern, AI-augmented development workflows. You will design, build, and ship features across the Zetaris platform, working alongside AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery without compromising on code quality, security, or maintainability.

This role suits a developer who is comfortable pairing with AI tools throughout the development lifecycle - from scaffolding and code generation through to review, testing, and debugging - while retaining strong personal engineering judgement and accountability for everything shipped.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain software features across the Zetaris platform, leveraging AI-assisted development tools to work efficiently and to a high standard, including:

Design, develop, test, and deploy features and services across the Zetaris platform in accordance with agreed specifications.
Use AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) as part of the standard development workflow to accelerate scaffolding, refactoring, and implementation.
Write clear, well-structured prompts and instructions to get high-quality output from AI coding tools, and critically review, test, and validate all AIgenerated code before it is merged.
Apply strong software engineering fundamentals (architecture, design patterns, performance, security) to ensure AI-assisted output meets Zetaris' engineering standards.
Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving feedback on both humanwritten and AI-assisted code.
Write and maintain automated tests to ensure code correctness and prevent regressions, including for AI-generated code.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams to translate requirements into working software.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build tooling, and development workflows that support fast, safe, AI-augmented delivery.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects, incidents, and performance issues across the codebase.
Document code, features, and AI-assisted workflows to support knowledgesharing and onboarding.
Stay current with emerging AI developer tools and practices and help evolve the team's approach to AI-augmented software development.
Work effectively within Agile cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Attributes

Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in a professional development workflow.
Ability to write clear, effective prompts and instructions to get reliable, high quality output from AI coding tools.
Strong ability to critically review, test, and debug AI-generated code, rather than accepting output at face value.
Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java.
Experience with modern web/backend frameworks and RESTful or API design
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows (pull requests, code review).
Understanding of software testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
Awareness of the capabilities and limitations of AI coding tools, including common failure modes (hallucinated APIs, subtle bugs, security issues).
Experience working in fast-paced Agile environments
Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
